HAPevolve Partners with Agilitas Advisory to Help Pennsylvania Hospitals Strengthen Resilience with Battleground

Agilitas Advisory has partnered with HAPevolve, a subsidiary of The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania, to make Battleground Live available to HAP member hospitals and other health care organizations served by HAPevolve through its Industry Partnership Program.

Battleground Live is an award-winning risk and resilience platform used globally by organizations managing emergency response, business continuity, operational risk, and crisis management.

Hospitals face rising operational pressures, including cyber incidents, technology outages, severe weather, supply chain disruption, staffing challenges, and other events that can affect patient care, staff safety, and critical operations. In this environment, resilience is no longer only about having plans in place. It is about being able to activate those plans, coordinate teams, communicate clearly, recover effectively, and provide leaders with the visibility needed to make informed decisions.

Moving Beyond Static Plans

Many healthcare organizations still rely on binders, static plans, spreadsheets, shared drives, and disconnected communication tools to manage emergency preparedness, business continuity, incident response, and operational resilience. Those tools may support planning, but they can create friction when speed, coordination, and visibility matter most.

During an incident, healthcare teams need to know which plan to activate, who needs to be notified, what roles and tasks are required, what decisions have been made, and what evidence will be available for reporting, audit, and after-action review. Battleground Live helps bring these activities into a more connected environment.

A Modular Platform for Healthcare Resilience

Battleground Live is a modular platform certified to SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 that allows hospitals to start with the capabilities they need most, whether emergency management, emergency communications, incident response, business continuity, IT disaster recovery, enterprise risk, or operational resilience.

“Healthcare organizations need resilience tools that match the speed and complexity of the environment they operate in,” said Lori Mulholland, Director of Business Development at HAPevolve. “Battleground Live gives emergency managers, clinicians, and executives a unified platform that strengthens preparedness, accelerates response, and improves organizational performance.”

What Battleground Can Help Hospitals Do

  • Activate emergency plans quickly with the right roles, instructions, and tasking
  • Deliver two-way emergency communications to staff, responders, and leadership
  • Coordinate incident response through a single connected environment
  • Log actions and decisions for audit and after-action review
  • Run realistic exercises and simulations virtually or in person
  • Unify business continuity, risk, and IT disaster recovery in one platform
  • Provide executives and boards with clearer visibility into readiness and resilience performance

Technology Supported by Advisory Experience

Technology alone does not create resilience. Through Agilitas Advisory, hospitals receive more than access to technology. Agilitas pairs Battleground Live with practical advisory support to help align the platform to real operating needs, support adoption, and turn preparedness and resilience data into useful insight for leaders and boards.

“Battleground Live is built by practitioners who understand the realities of emergency management, business continuity, and operational risk,” said Rob Whitzman, Partner, Technology and Resilience at Agilitas Advisory. “Our partnership with HAPevolve helps hospitals access both the technology and the advisory support needed to modernize resilience programs and improve outcomes for patients and staff.”
